Service mesh is complicated, but the reason you use it integrate services across clusters. That and it has a bunch of useful reverse proxy features. On the other hand, It took me and 2 other guys two evenings of blood, sweat, and tears to u

The most frequent use case I and my coworkers run into where we use them is when we want type covariance on a slice. I.e., when you want to write a function that take some slice of any type T that implements interface I, such that []T is a

To an extent. Take cooking for example though- I don't doubt that writing recipes and trying them builds ones creative muscle, on the other hand, I don't think being we'd be at a loss for great chefs if we were to automate th

Or maybe, the limiting factor in one's ability to create art will be... creativity rather than the technical skills necessary to make movies, draw, or pluck strings.

Well, water is a solvent and dirt isn’t. That’s probably the reason why oil isn’t harmful in the ground and it is harmful when it’s spilled in the ocean.

Why stop at the country level? We could just as easily have ethnic and cultural homogeneity on a global level. We'd have much lower crime and higher employment if all culture world-wide were homogenous. No ghettoized countries and such

4070 worked out of the box on my arch system. I used the closed source drivers and X11 and I've not encountered a single problem. My prediction is that it will continue to improve if only because people want to run nvidia on workstatio

I think the fact that nobody knows how to deal with negative correlations in functional connectivity takes away from the validity of the whole concept. People literally throw out negatively correlated voxels/ROI's. This, on top of

When you say “profitable software designs” my bet is that if you have any person off the street a “tour” of google and how their data is actually treated, more than 1/3 of them would be okay with sharing that information, and wouldn’t

Well, for the sake of argument, let’s say the federal government prints all of the money the state would need for an endowment and hands it to the state. There is inflation, but the state never has to collect taxes again. I think there are

So, lets expand that idea a bit. Why doesn't the government just buy a lot of shares in index funds, kind of like an endowment, and then never collect any taxes? I can see a world where a large portion of private enterprise is held

To me, the way they've done it seems correct. In your mind, where does the interest come from on the money saved for the bridge? The government has to be collecting interest from somebody no?

The only way I can see that happening is with an EEE model. You'd go grab all of the non-steam publishers and come up with a standard format that'd mean that studios can push to every platform in a standardized way, then bank on n
