Nothing significant no. Ping An had some exposure but it's already written down - they are also not a bank, they are an insurrance firm but worth mentioning as they were the highest profile entity with exposure. That doesn't mean

It does answer the question you just want to look past it. Chinese state-owned commercial banks (SCOBs) account for ~40% of the market alone, another 40% or so is rural banks etc, all of which are under incredibly strict regulation. You can

As I said, I will believe it when I see it. Heard the same doomsday stories over and over at this point. The most likely way this plays out is CCP slowly nationalizes Evergrande and other embattled developers (bond holders and equity invest

It matters because of contagion. As it stands there are individuals at risk of being over-leveraged by having a loan on a asset that doesn't currently exist (but probably will, CCP has a way of compelling such things to happen) or has

Same story has been foretold over and over for the last 30 years. I will believe it when I see it. The RE bubble is bad but substantially less bad than what the US was facing in 2008. There is a big difference between over-leveraged develop

Unless we get a DOM API for WASM it's probably not going to be worth it. Which will basically relegate WASM to games, cryptography and parallel data processing (i.e SIMD). Right now it's not looking like a DOM API will eventuate.

Haven't worked on NT kernel, did implement a device driver for it once. Spent first 4 years of my career doing Linux kernel development. In general, go for it. The level of understanding you obtain by working on the kernel about how th

The rules aren't strict enough IMO but the observed variation is very low in practice. Australia allows very similar amounts of wriggle room in theory [1]. Most people I know in Australia with ADHD are treated with generics (very commo

This is how most single payer systems work. Australia [1] uses a broader spectrum of metrics but price of drugs in other international markets is a substantial part of it's analysis and negotiations. [1] https://www.pbs.gov.

The problem is actually that most of those systems are on considerably less advanced tech than Starlink and as a result only have a fraction of the capacity. Thus each piece of capacity costs more.. thus the very high costs of Iridium and V

China is building all forms of energy as quickly as possible. They are still building coal plants while all this is going on because they are that desperate for additional generation capacity.
