This is true. The story carried Witcher 1. Gameplay was vastly improved in 2 and I have mixed feelings about 3, the game was definitely more successful and I think you can partially attribute that to changes that made it easier to play and

People really have warped perceptions of different Asian nations. As someone that has been a resident of most of them they are mostly all like China... which shouldn't be surprising there is a lot of shared cultural history in the regi

I don't think we built enough to really know that. Lets see how China goes for costs first and then reassess.

By the time Amazon is relevant Starlink will have already cornered the market. Not to mention keeping such a constellation maintained requires crazy launch cadence which takes atleast a decade to hone even if your rocket is really damn good

I'm not uniformed, I am aware better solutions don't currently exist for the frontend. This however is a thread about using TS/JS on the backend as a web server and I think you will find all my arguments perfectly valid in th

This is likely to turn out to be the biggest failure of US policy maneuvering of this century. By keeping China coupled to the Wests semi-conductor supply chain there was always pressure that could be applied in various ways, veiled threat

They will build their own. It was the Chinese that pushed through RISC-V at the end of the day. They are allocating absolutely ridiculous amounts of capital towards building their own lithography expertise now. Trump pretty much forced Bide

That may not even be necessary at this point. Chinese nationals I know all went to US/Australia/UK universities but their younger siblings seem to be much more enamored with the Chinese universities in tier 1 cities instead. Combi

I originally came from a C background where the tooling is essentially the worst in the business (embedded) so yeah, I definitely know what poor DX looks like lol. For me I would pick that again over the current state of Typescript/Jav

Yeah definitely. Typescript is passable, even has some decently cool stuff like discriminating unions which would be nice to have more widespread. The tooling however is just awful. I'm trying to make it palatable with Bazel + rules_js

If you are buying into JS/TS the very last thing you are getting is DX. I have never worked with such a low quality ecosystem ever before and I hope I won't have to endure it for too much longer. If you want DX you are better off

It's a coarse enough instrument that changing it only a few times a year still spreads the effect out over the whole year and even if it was continuous announcing a change in the rate of change will have exactly the same effect.
