This article is about “solving” differential equations and not convex optimization.

And this is why it is a bad idea for open source contributors to transfer their copyright. If hundreds of commits are baked into a software - under an open source license but without the full copyright transferred to a central legal entity

The address is scrambled (similar to a random-number generator) to produce the rank. So consecutive locations do not hurt performance.

Zip trees are great! For a project I made a version that uses the memory location of the entries to construct the (random) rank on the fly. So it’s a binary tree structure that requires the same memory as a linked list (two pointers) only!

AFAIK the IP deal with Microsoft only covers development before AGI . So at any point OpenAI could declare that a sufficient degree of AGI has been achieved and thus return to its philanthropic mission. With GPLed models and all. However,

Imagine how much worse the code would have been without all those rules. If people don’t have taste, no rules will get you to good code. Only a bit less worse / better predictable behavior.

I think the question assumed that you can run go in a script-language mode. Because you do want the source of shell-scripts on the local machine. So it is easy to make changes by system admins/non-developers. Scripting is for glue func

The recent 2023 version of MISRA C costs just a few pound as PDF. So I got it from $WORK. I don't have a lot of experience with the previous versions. But the 2023 version reads quite okay. It is not possible to mandate "though sh

Well, you can also be a "tourist" as a German visiting Berlin. And be treated as such. I think speaking English in itself was never a problem to get in. But of course the tourist vibes get stronger if the person doesn't know

Totally love the quest for elegant and minimal implementations. But I don't think line-counts are comparable across languages. The APL/K crowd has a very different opinion on the number of statements per line. To give an impressio

Nice. I recall there were .txt files in the filesystem where you could leave your name and a shoutout after completing a level. Mostly „Kilroy was here“ equivalents. But it felt oh so 1337 hacker to add yourself. Quite the motivation boost

So the 2 year old post by Jeff on discourse says that breaking changes would have to go into an eventual 2.0. Whereas in the 6 month old keynote the same Jeff says there is no plan for breaking changes and hence no 2.0 is planned. So Julia
