thanks for that. Yeah, there are two important features in Waze which could be helpful in Google Maps 1. Potholes 2. Road kill (any animal that might get killed on road)

Not all the generated is with the sophisticated software. And they leave some trail of their source in their exif information. And images generated with popular software can be identified too. I think that is the starting point.
