I think the PRE2 is a great device. Google Apps email, SMS texting and Google Maps is fantastic. Browser works great. The clever status light, the window swiping, the bottom gesture panel logic and the clever window bundling makes Android a

Am I the only one who finds this line of thinking slightly naive ? This site is probably gamed out of existence by sock puppets, social media experts and old Digg users. I am just waiting for the "accidental" porn reference to hit the front

Both Colourlovers and Adobe Kuler have non-commercial palette API´s. I know, because I thought about supporting them in this - http://teppefall.com/products/colorspace So they must be totally paranoid about traffic numbers, social hooks a

Because how is something better when "better" is just an adjective and not something you created, tested and executed ? Going to the moon is an idea, executing the moon landing is a million ideas all put together in the correct order. Diffe

A tiny microblogging platform causes angst in a billion dollar company ? Jaiku sounds like a dinner snack or christmas eve impulse buy. Another Orkut, but big in Finland.

Not everyone dumps their "baby" onto the street, ignore it for months and "build" another one. Some people try to start a business. Blood, sweat and tears and all that. You take this too literally. He is just trying to connect to his inner

Pretending to be human is problematic if the server thinks you are a robot because of User-Agent, IP subnet (dynamic IP cloud systems) and DNS look-up patterns (CNN and similar sites). So "behaving like a human" on HN might result in an IP

Half my public infrastructure is down. It could have been a 100%, but I separated private and business systems last month. Lots of people use MT because their email and DNS logic is solid. So this is pretty serious for them. Media Temple wa

Display percentages instead of points relative to sub-tree total. This way points are hidden but relevance stays intact. Then use colors instead of numbers to indicate "good" sub-trees so that people have to convert hexadecimal values to ex

WebOS/Bada/Android(Linux), WindowsPhone(CE) and iOS(Mach) are all very different. Each platform uses its own string class, threading logic and UI layer. The lack of standardization is almost bizarre when you factor in HTML5. This results in

I was using Photoshop to pick colors from design PSD´s and PNG´s. Then I found two nice color libraries, added my boring app framework and created this - http://teppefall.com/products/colorspace . The problem is risk.. do you spend a $1000

How does Python hook into all this ? Seems very J2EE. Jython or API? Or maybe they just use it instead of SH to set up env ? BackType looks cool btw, got an API key a while back and started playing with it.

Game developers are not aware of non-work. Also, if your game does not look like a 100 million dollars IT SUCKS! NDA, risk, OpenGL complexity == boring/dangerous, etc. Games == Assets == IP == Millions of dollars == Risk.
