I watched this yesterday after a friend recommended it. Very nice videography with the birds footage. Also he handled the feral cat situation quite humanely.

Are they getting rid off some of the creature comforts for the employees who're still sticking around? I could be wrong but is it another way Elon thinks that he could improve efficiency? Probably overthinking!

This probably describes most of the work done by big IT consulting/services firms.

Initially I actually believed this to be true. The line is getting more and more blurry with every single day under the Chief Twit!

Looks like the employee who was in charge of managing badge access was laid off and several staff have locked themselves out! https://twitter.com/anothercohen/status/1593404311832338442

I absolutely needed this today. Marking it as a favourite!

This is an accurate assessment. Having worked for companies similar to Infosys, I can confirm this.

My brother in law works for a local Schnitzel chain (Schnitz) and it's hard to believe what people are ready to pay for convenience. They've a few regular customers who order fresh hot chips twice or thrice a day. Just a regular s

WOW, what a read! I remember reading about Annie Besant in school. Historical events like these have a lot to teach us even today. With so many countries still running sweat shops with inhuman labour conditions it's increasingly import

Ahh. I think it was quite an effort. The whole organisation really did spend some time and tested it thoroughly. I reckon it depends on the scale and complexity of the code base. I'm not a dev, I don't know enough. I'm worrie

CEOs saying they're accountable is just another way of saying sorry (not really) and being polite. This is just business and as long as reasonable severance packages are paid, employees will be willing to work there when times are bett

What does the future of F# look like with C# becoming more and more functional?

by jp0d 4y ago
Yes, absolutely. EV's have a lot of limitations. The batteries degrade in capacity and are toxic. They're quite heavy and can explode (things have improved a lot). The chemicals used in the batteries are toxic. Countries that are

You're probably right about the currently known processes. But there are companies working on chemical engineering processes that are more efficient. Here is one : https://hazer.wpmudev.host/about/#hazerprocess

This is really promising. But I usually sense some pessimism from the EV crowd about the viability of Hydrogen. I personally hope for a Hydrogen future.

This is not just efficient but also saves a lot of time. I do this with rice/pasta or anything that requires boiling. Also, using a pressure cooker can save a lot of time/energy with foods like legumes/meats etc.

Thank you. Aptly written. Even if the idea is fantastic, if not much happens for years, it's almost safe to assume that the product is sort of dead. But it kind of depends! An old academic language like Standard ML might not get a lot
