That's true, but the other side of the coin is that richer/more developed countries take all the specialists and raw materials from poorer countries, set up low level factories for the remaining idiots, control the IP and sell the

Been thinking for a while - I need some serious BGA rework equipment and some training because I'd rather die in a ditch than not be able to replace any components in my computer :D At that point, might as well start my dream recycling

In many, if not most, countries, if you don't pay your property taxes, if you don't do "adequate upkeep" of the property, or if the government decides it's needed for something more important, it can be forcibly bou

My honest advice: Don't get HP. Except for the highest end ZBooks, maybe . They all have severe drawbacks in some way. They even used the Elitebook brand to make cheap shit and now no one likes it. Gamers wanted the Omen, turned out t

My experience was in Germany. They checked my passport, face, name, address via PostIdent video. Same procedure as with N26 and ING online banks, though the latter didn't work due to connection problems so I had to do it at the post of

A prepaid SIM having the same security checks as a bank account definitely felt sour. And for some reason people think they have any privacy from the government.

It's never too late tbh, but in this case it makes zero sense. The competition is also "made in Germany", it's not like all the datacenters/providers are fully run from the US or something. The only ones who would f

I thought that's common knowledge? The lifespan decrease from effective steroids, I mean. When making the decision voluntarily , you trade years of life for better quality of life. Which is a tradeoff many people would accept.
