Intel didn't care. They dabbled into it with XScale, at a time the best mobile ARM processors, then gave up and sold the whole thing. Shortsighted, should've kept at it.

VAIO used to be a symbol of quality and status, as well. Really great laptops, how did Sony let them get so bad... They sold the brand, too.

I don't know what kind of nostalgic glasses people wear, but CRT TV quality degraded over time, became noticeably blurry. Had Panasonics, Sony, JVC, all looked like shit. Monitors with degaussing were fixable for a short time.

That's... Insane. I've got 3 Samsung CRTs and a Benq collecting dust for more than a decade. No one gives a flying fuck about them here, could probably get a dozen more for like 10 dollars each...

This was a long time ago (7-10 years), but 1and1, Hetzner, OVH, HostGator, LiquidWeb did not allow IRC hosting. They were the cheapest, tbf. I only use Linode now, haven't looked into it.

I don't care either way, but they'll have to switch to something else at some point, cause the numbers will look ridiculous. Firefox 157... Firefox 349... Firefox 1071 Intel's processor names already look ridiculous to me. Co

So, have the bottom cover be the heatsink? That actually sounds brilliant. HP thinned the ZBook series by turning everything upside down and having the bottom be just a dumb panel instead of the main frame. Sadly they, once again, used a st

It's sad that this is the norm. Aluminum is cheap, a bigger heatsink in a regular laptop (not Ultrabook) should cost what, a dollar more? Yet laptops are never designed for full load for hours. Just "mainstream" use. Even bus

I'll add to that, people in that region eat plenty of vegetables and fruit... during summer and autumn. But fast/street food is mostly meat, potatoes, cheese, anything that can be sold all year round. That reminds me of British mu

Here's the secret: few in the first world consider developing countries. No one cares about the brain drain (it's just people choosing where to live, right? lol) or their non-competitiveness due to rules imposed by first world cou

If this was a real thing, I'd say building bridges/roads above the city would be the only viable (yet extremely difficult) solution. Maybe underground in some places. Would look pretty dystopian probably
