One reason I think is because of the global phenonmenon and easy to exchange native currency to crypto. And the immutable and fixed capped supply. Huge prizes to be won for someone cracking the network.

Implemented CQRS+ES design pattern recently in F# and postgres. The query side kept changing due to business needs, while the command side remained the same. In our case, queries state aka projection were asynchronous which made it very fle

I prefer functional first languages that allows mutability where needed. Ocaml, F# and scala for me. You have to go through great lengths to avoid mutability in Haskell, which is why they are developing linear types. I tried it for a few mo

zero overhead on the web or just zero and overkill for the web? Seriously I don't get the appeal of doing frontend in Rust? Isomorphic you say, thought Json solved that problem? Hell, I'd rather choose typescript even.

Most relationships, I have encountered are just one-many, many-one, many-mane, one-one, indirect, direct or graphical in nature. You want flat result, aggregated result. Why does this have to be blamed on the data relationship and not SQL l

Its funny though, as I am personally switching to scala 3 for the features I mentioned. I find the features particularly handy for building distributed systems using Akka. And I wished they'd get tooling just right out of the bat. (sbt

My ideal language is something like F# but with HKTs, trait, macros, union types (without discriminator), basically most features dotty aka scala 3 introduced.

Poor logic. I never said I don't value Linux or freedom. Last time I checked, nobody dictates what you use. I don't understand why making profits is shunned as such a problem? And takes away your freedom? You are free to not use p

Why is it that Linux is always playing catch-ups with device drivers, KDE, GNOME, wayland to be on par with Windows or Mac equivalent? Cause there are lack of resources, how many people want to invest their time for nothing in return? Very

I think linux on the desktop would be been better story. My point is without Microsoft we wouldn't be where we are today. We'd be lagging far behind. Apple being the only competition, would probably still be selling Apple 2.

Used ArchLinux for 6 years and eventually switched to Ubuntu. It just works most of the time and most of the things I require is bundled with the installation ISO. Most third-party bundles in .deb format which also usually just works.
