I don't think it's an either or proposition. You can both retire early AND take a nice vacation. Sure it delays your retirement date by a couple of days, but I think that's a good tradeoff generally. I'm approaching 40 a

I'm also using it at home and the office or coworking spaces. Having the giant ultra wide screen all the time is great, and then I usually break out a handful of apps to the side (calendar, Slack, etc) and keep my desktop to almost ent

Having used XReals and Vision Pro (which I assume will be very similar), they're not even in the same ballpark for experience for movies and for desktop. XReals feel like a crappy monitor strapped to your face that bounces with your pu

Is this with JS disabled? I don't think we should expect interactive, fun sites to work well that way.

Ooo interesting, I'd love to hear more about the esp32's as voice satellites!

Ohh woooow, they at least gave us like 9 months (until our next contract renewal). Right now the plan is to move to Google Chat (already a Google shop) and an internally build chat in our EHR for some of the patient-focused things.

Slack just did the same to us for our company Slack. We have to have the HIPAA compliant Enterprise version, price going up 40% next year. Looks like we'll migrate, especially because compliance has a bunch of annoying caveats.

TLS Notary[0] is a project already aimed at doing something exactly like this. It lets you only expose the parts of the payload that you want (e.g. your age) and relies on a verifier to prove the data is legit. [0] https://tlsnot

I agree with everything other than "moment is great". Even the devs say don't use it any more, and accidentally mutated datetimes have been the source of bugs in apps I've worked on multiple times. Luxon is great though.

Yup it's definitely an organized group(s). I've gotten so many automated resumes that try different styles, locations, and keywords that I suspect are largely the same group or two. We even had one candidate join a Zoom as the wro

Same experience. I was using Windsurf for a couple of weeks, but felt like the editor wasn't as nice to use as Cursor, so features an agent could handle went to Windsurf and pair coding was more with Cursor. Once Cursor got agent mode,

AI hallucinates. That's just part of the deal right now. It's on you to verify. Why did you pay for a Notion annual subscription right away? I always do monthly when trying something because you never know.

For most of my toy projects, it's a systemd service file and rsync + restart command for deploys. Might have to SSH in and run an install command occasionally.

I just saw him give a talk at Thotcon in Chicago about catching one of the first hackers and it was by far the best talk I've seen in quite a while. He's eccentric, animated, and an amazing storyteller.

There are tons of small improvements I want to make to our codebase that would be great but take effort. Refactors are a great example. We hand those to Devin (or Cursor background agents, etc), review, and we're all happier for it. Ou

I don't have it as bad as the author, but I've run into this enough times I keep a couple running notes: challenges I overcame, achievements, and amusing stories to tell at social events. They definitely help to refresh my memory

Presumably cheaper (long term) shipping costs leading to cheaper goods overall? Fewer sleepy truck drivers on the road? Yes, I think the public would want that.

Maybe not as much to us, but for people building these tools, 4.1 being significantly cheaper than Clause 3.7 is a huge difference.

My friends have offered to pay for some of the hard drives, but I refuse because once I accept money, there's an implicit owing them to keep it up (whether that's real or in my head). Now it's just a best effort, and I prefer
