It's very helpful for race training. Speed work targets various paces, endurance I want to hold a certain pace over time, etc. I (and many people) have a tendency to go much too fast for long distances, so pace targets help me stay whe

I buy lotto tickets because my friends do a pool. I'm not sure I'd be happy with the money, but I am very sure I'd be very unhappy if I was a schmuck who didn't put in a very small amount (to me) of money to be in the po

Do you have any examples of the kinds of projects you would assign it to?

I don't think the suggestion is to "never" be subjected to collaboration, but certainly there should be a balance between collaboration and deep work that shouldn't be interrupted if possible.

This is the approach I take and it works well enough to let me wear it while sleeping. With a USB-C charger (faster) and not putting it back on until I'm all done getting ready, I rarely have to charge outside of showering.

We use this feature and it's actually been pretty handy. I still require my devs to write their own PR description (because of course they should), but it does give a few suggestions for things to look into as they review. Occasionally

I suppose it's to be expected since they spent $2.3bil on a music venue and sell tickets for hundreds to thousands per seat.

Yup, agreed. Currently at 4 billion hashes and matching takes 30-120s. I haven't put effort into speeding it up yet because I'm using it for a trivia contest and we have a couple hours to figure out the clips.

Incredibly done in 2003. There's a python library called dejavu[0] that does similar hashing. It mostly works to make your own Shazam (assuming you can source the data to hash!) [0] https://github.com/worldveil/dej

Most egregiously, IMO, was the Holdo Maneuver (jumping the rebel cruiser into the pursuing First Order ship). If that's a thing, why didn't they use that on the Death Star, the Executor, etc. Why weren't people building massi

0.1.0 might make more sense, but still not completely (backwards compatible with what?). Then again, it doesn't really matter. It's not like someone's going to accidentally install 0.0.1 because of semantic versioning not bei

It's not at all like Spotify. The library you get for $7.95/mo is very limited. If it was like Spotify I'd happily pay a hell of a lot more than that.

At least it'll be at all (most?) of their US stores. I drove halfway across the country to NYC to get Google Glass. At least me and a couple friends turned it into a fun vacation.

I think it's more that if someone does it in a Tesla, it makes for good headlines and generates clicks, so we hear about it. Someone in my hometown confused the pedals in an ICE car a few years ago, made a small blurb in our tiny newsp

See if you can answer in about 6 minutes: What is the name of the first number one single on the billboard hot 100 to include the voice of Bob Dylan? This question was worth 110 points (points are 2000 / number of teams that answered),
