So what’s the actual benefit to rebooting according to this article?

Yeah the article really drives the point home ending with those icons

For this reason I doubt this was actually why Apple did it. A lot of confident guesswork is done at HN regarding companies' motivations.

Feel like having 'AI' in any product name won't age well, as AI will soon be (if it not already is) implied as part of any software product. Kind of like saying "check my mobile website", "make me a responsive

I unfollow everyone on LinkedIn just so nothing enters my feed but suggestions and ads. I prefer that over the mindless self-congratulatory exhibition that goes on over there. The more I see someone I know post on there, the less I think of

I think they’re talking about YouTube not wanting to miss revenue by taking similar measures

Allow AI, but require labeling as such, and demonetize. Would love for YouTube to follow suit on this

You're commenting on different Apple practices that could labeled as 'hostile'. I'm strictly talking about Apple tacking on extra AirPods features on iOS devices that they're able to control and QA. And fuck Zuck.

Em-dashes predate LLMs and are legitimate punctuation. Are we going to ban/dismiss any pattern now that emerges from these things?

I wouldn't assume based on this one thread/article that this is what you need to optimize your resume for. Nor that a majority or even significant group of reviewers is even using LLMs. I've been involved in hiring pipelines

What a mess of a message. > Tech debt is carried at basically no interest rate given AI. Doesn't even begin to offer support for this statement. 'Given AI' means what? Given the fact that AI will one day resolve your tech

What's so hostile about it? They can't _add_ features on top of regular Bluetooth connectivity, that they choose to only offer on platforms they're able to fully control and QA ? Is even just making a feature exclusive really

> Why would they try to make the AirPods a worse purchase? Why assume this is what they're doing? Apple can only QA so much. To open up proprietary tacked-on features to a hardware ecosystem they can't control, opens up AirPods
