Purchasing a font license for a personal website is an insane and sadistic extravagance, like pissing away $200 on a t-shirt.

My only advice is to note that a lot of this hangs on how you and your spouse enjoy the new place, not your kid. Attending a better school or belonging to a more prestigious segment of society doesn’t matter as much as you being happy, rela

The idea is that letting a generation of young boys think they're personally responsible for a history of oppression and discrimination inflicts pain and trauma.

Nice! Was the booking system simple CRUD, or did you require credit cards for payment or reservation? Edit: Saw the URL from another comment. Great work, simple and does exactly what’s needed.

I find it remarkable that there was chain-wide adjustment to seating without direct customer intervention — a good employee recognized the danger, and maybe felt gratitude for how benign the incident was, and immediately went up the chain a

Just curious and I admire your commitment, but is there some aspect of your life that demands this diligence, or are you simply principled?

I confess that sometimes for a quick coffee I use the same espresso from the morning. I don't always feel like grinding beans, cleaning the portafilter, and tamping again. It's not great but not terrible.

This thread was fine with me until I considered Vercel might do the same thing in five years with their free tier.

Definitely. My thought is rather that it’s an additional point of friction that makes selling a workflow like this more difficult.
