I don't think so. I think selling the game together with non-free assets without which the game would be unplayable is a tighter combination than "mere aggregation". It seems to me like that would be derived work.

Right, that's what I'm asking. Don't forbid commercial use, just use the GPL so nobody else has an unfair advantage over the source code. I think a lot of people have an unfounded fear of someone else making money when a shar

Why forbid commercial use? Wouldn't the GPL be enough and keep the software free?

Open core is freemium. You can use the base under a free license but if you want fancy features, those are under a non-free license. Selling exceptions (or what someone else called, "dual licensing") means everyone gets the same s

What no, open core is not dual licensing, at least, not by what is meant here with "dual licensing". Dual licensing is about selling exceptions. Selling copyleft exceptions. There's no dual licensing without copyleft, because

How old are you, and what part of Mexico are you from? I really think it was in the early 1980s when the SEP started to spread the holiday. It's kind of hard to figure out.

I always heard "día de muertos". The first time I heard "día de los muertos", I thought it was some kind of protest over some massacre. We have many prominent groups of dead people in Mexico. :-(

"Día de los muertos" sounds so weird to me, like we're talking about a particular group of dead people (say, the dead from a war) instead of the dead in general. I would say "día de muertos" and most Mexicans in Mex

What is the fraud you're trying to reduce? I know advertisers think that not watching their ads is fraud. Is that what you mean?

More like, "in exchange, we'll make more honey that you can buy from us too." I gain nothing by watching ads. All I get is the creation of a need or desire that I didn't have before I watched the ad. Ads increase demand.

How effective is this? hg has added extra metadata on top with what we call "changeset evolution", which tracks this renaming information explicitly. git seems to like to track stuff like this implicitly, such as renaming files. H

Spoiler culture is unprecedented in history. The idea of spoilers was invented by Hitchcock in the 1960s to sell more tickets for his movies. "Don't give away the ending!"
