I wonder if this could be used as a way to crash browsers if there's no check for image sizes? Most sites allow user submitted images and over time one could stream big enough gif (...err jif ) to crash idle tabs.

This was also totally random and gave us some serious headache: one dyno at the time starts failing with Graph API. Restart helps but only for some time until Heroku randomly cycles your instances. Would be happy to pay little extra for a r

Unfortunately no, Kippt data structure is pretty different from Evernote's (links+plain text vs html+attachements) and building an importer for that would be pretty complicated.

(Kippt's developer here) Polling feeds is quite resource intensive and something we don't really have the resources (mainly the implementation). This is definitely that could be easily implemented with something like Superfeedr and our API
