Love this. I chose a small village and got a few clues like "War memorial", I'd bet there are many War Memorials in the 10km radius - so was impossible to know which one it meant.

Yes, I liked the description of what it does, but at first glance am not sure what to do with the interface.

In Venice (the Italian one) - cars, mopeds and bikes are all banned. Most trade goods are transported around by a man moving fast with a sack truck shouting 'Attencion!'

Wordpress is old school. The PHP of Laravel and Symfony is light years ahead of the stuff in Wordpress. Maybe they need to stay close to the metal based on the performance they need?

Laravel is more like Rails in that sense, if you’re building a regular app, Laravel is very very fast to get something finished

A huge reason for the low power usage is the iPhone. Apple spent years incrementally improving efficiency and performance of their chips for phones. Intel and AMD were more desktop based so power efficiency wasnt the goal. When Apple's

It’s not yet guaranteed that Uber will kill off black cabs but who knows. I read that all Uber rides are subsidised by the huge amount of investment they’ve received as they try to gain market share. Maybe at some point prices will return t

Spotting that a container has a car in it is not the same as a stolen car. You’d have to open up each container and run the plates.

Cursor and code completion is such a time saver for me. Having the next few lines guessed feels magic. Having an agent completely design/write a feature still feels weird. I like everything being hand written, even if I actually just t

What’s the UX like winUAE these days? I remember years ago finding it very confusing, having to choose the specific Amiga, and simulate specific disk loads. For me, I just wanted to be able to quickly and easily load up and play the old Ami

For me, JQuery was the thing that fixed the browser inconsistencies. If you used JQuery for everything, your code worked in all the browsers. This was maybe 2008?
