Presumably it's also heavily influenced by climate, job and location? Working in dirty or dusty conditions for example, or if you have a long commute in and out of the city on a train, you don't really want to skip having a shower

I use Cursor and still think of my work as hand crafted, the project is exactly what I wanted, I just didn’t have to press every single key

Some of Star Wars: Andor was filmed there. The concrete walkways look great as futuristic structures. https://www.nadamaktari.com/nadamaktari-memorylog/architectu...

Thanks! The thing that bugs me is when Im trying to use tab to indent with spaces, but I get a suggestion instead. I tried to disable caps lock, then remap tab to caps lock, but no joy

Has anyone had any joy using a local model? Or is it still too slow? On something like a M4 Macbook Pro can local models replace the connection to OpenAi/Anthropic?

Unlikely they'll disappear. I currently use Cursor but am happy to change if a competitor is markedly better

Agreed, I've found for JS the suggestions are remarkably good

How do you do that? Sorry if it's obvious - I've looked for this functionality before and didn't spot it

Laravel is a great way to run apps as a one person team

Not what you asked for. But I could write a very similar article about Laravel. I run multiple apps as single developer and Laravel has a great community. Laravel has a lot of similarities to Rails.

These kind of games rely on custom keyboards. Using the native control would be a lot more difficult.

I’m not sure that was scroll hijacked. It all moved at the right speed

Presumably James Hype uses beat sync too? Surely he doesn’t have time to beat match between all the loops/hot cues etc

I know what you mean. It’s just becoming a different thing for some people. Playing records the old way is great. I saw a Hor Berlin video by Serafina and she looks to be fully beat synced the whole time but is making her own music from the

The compiler/interpreter couldn’t even tell you what line the error was on! You’d just get a big error message for the whole program.

I agree that the beat sync tools feel like cheating for the old school DJs, but the newer generation are using it to get more creative. Without spending half the time beat matching, they now have time to interact with the tracks more - play

Do any of the current AI systems allow you to use voice? I’d love to sometimes chat to an agent and dictate what I want to happen. For one project there’s a lot of boilerplate and I imagine AI could be really fast for tasks like: “create a
