I would absolutely love something like the utility in the post for my TCL TVs. You hit the nail on the head with your description.

I feel like video playback is something that very rarely pops up in these discussions. Yes your old laptop boots up and runs Linux and you can write emails and browse a forum, but video streaming is pretty much off the table at anything abo

I’ve had a few different mechanical keyboards and they’ve all felt … OK but not great. I bought a Unicomp Model M relatively recently and it has been awesome. Really appreciate the feeling of the keys. Would get absolutely crucified in a

Probably a bit of both if I was to hazard a guess. MS has VS Code, which is definitely the elephant in the room as far as go to IDEs in the environments I’ve been in lately. So right now they’re spending engineering time on both VS Code an

Ehh, I’m far from a pro cook, but I do have an induction burner as I prefer it to my traditional electric range. I would still pick gas if I had the option. I realize this is a niche reason, but cooking with a wok is pretty much useless on

I have one of these too. I used it for a few months and aside from the battery life, I loved it. I wish the bootloader would’ve been open for custom roms that could’ve taken advantage of it better, but it’s been in a drawer ever since. I st

Zapp is Salesforce. Not a programming language, but often used in places where a programming language would be better suited. Overconfident and underqualified.

I was incredibly underwhelmed by the Elipsa and returned it when it came out. Expecting it to have improved over the past year, I ordered the 8” version (which I forget the name of now), but it was equally as underwhelming and I returned it

I think Sam Harris used something like this to argue that there is no self. Basically he said something along the lines of like “picture a movie in your head” and then “where did that choice come from? You had the ability to choose if the

I mean, if it’s got flags to represent what you’re asking it to do and you set the wrong flag that’s not a script issue. I can run rm -rf / and that’s not a fault of rm, that’s a behind the keyboard issue.

If you’re using Docker, the wg-easy project made it pretty easy. Otherwise I’d recommend PiVPN which worked well also with minimal setup. Setting WireGuard up from scratch was a failed endeavor multiple times for me but both of those mentio
