I disagree. A person would have a much easier time transitioning from C# to VB.NET than C# to Java. This is simply because the libraries in C# and VB.NET are the exact same since they both run on the CLR. The syntax learning curve may be st

I really don't get much utility out of Mahalo, but why would it drop in this algorithm change? Isn't the site like a wikipedia for search results?

I love the mindset behind the advice of having a little saved up. I currently have about $15k saved up. I fully intend to one day have real FU money. In the meantime though, having a small emergency fund that I'm adding to each month makes

I forget shit all of the time related to programming. I then started a blog that just documented snippets to accomplish various tasks in various languages that I use. This way if I forget, and I do all of the time, I can refer to my blog. D

Bummed that you can't get more than 8 GB of memory on even the i7. Why are the i7 mobiles only limited to 8 GB? That seems silly for today's standards and memory costs.

I don't like the statement that "Hacker News ruined my morning." That seems like you're either creating a link-bait headline trying to appeal to the emotions of HNers or you're trying to shift responsibility from yourself to another entity.

I really liked Turbotax.com and used it for about four years up until last year. It doesn't support multi-member LLCS, so it's not useful to me anymore.
