GitHub has slowly phased away from being a website about the code, to being a website about people. Yes, people are an aspect of the code, however the site is no longer focusing solely on collaboration tools for working with code. Author is

"we truly don't believe we could have achieved these numbers with this level of stability without Rust" Oh please. This is just rust sensationalism. People don't truly believe rust is faster than C do they?

PHP is damn fast now, no joke. And with all of the modern features it's actually not so bad to work in. I'm becoming increasingly puzzled every time I see PHP hate now, especially when I read tired comments like "just use rai

MySQL 5.6 was released in 2012. Postgres 9.5 was released in 2016, so this isn't really a fair comparison.

I've found switching the user agent to Chrome to be the most effective solution for ensuring sites and platforms operate as expected, without degregaded experience. Yes, this includes non-Google educational platforms that block access

Sure there is, but the place isn't with small - medium business. Only large corporations that can afford to develop native cross-platform applications will do so. Hence why there's an influx of Electron applications, etc. I think

Wow, nice! I've been using draw.io for a number of years now. It keeps getting better. And this is frankly, amazing! Question to author(s) - how can I support your development of draw.io?

I hope this speeds things up for Facebook. On the rare occasions I use it these days to check up on family photos or something, the entire site is fucking painfully slow. Even on my quad core I7 desktop on a fibre backbone connection, I

I see a bunch of people in these threads complaining about change in Linux, but this is exactly all they do - _complain_. I don't see any of these people making better contributions. It's easier to sit there and insult the project

This is exactly the problem with C++. Let's fix ugly syntax by providing yet another way to write something that accomplishes the same thing. Over-evolution isn't a good thing.

C++ is legitamately gross to read these days, unless you sit there reading it every day. The syntax has become so ridiciously complicated, I have developed an involuntary gag relfex every time I read any kind of "modern" C++ code

How much slower is rust as opposed to C or C++ for production sized builds? Traditionally people have thrown more hardware at these kinds of problems. As someone who has yet to use rust for anything more than small hobby sized projects, I a
