Are people using this/Brunch/Yeoman inside Rails apps? I can't work out the usecase - or do you use this in conjunction with a separate app generating your API? Sidenote: the design is gorgeous.

This sales-letter style seems more prevalent in eBook/video downloads than SaaS (though we've all seen 37signals' A/B tests). Reeks of a 'PAY $200 TO SEE HOW TO LOSE 100LBS IN 2 WEEKS'. edit: actually, with no offence intended - your book's

Actually, while I'm on your site, let's go back to your App Design Handbook. - Better layout; good that it's all on one page. Long scrolly site (Lost World's Fairs etc etc) are great but this is better shorter. - Similar to the Facebook/Mai

Couple of things: - Get rid of the MailChimp, Facebook logos etc. On scanning it's shady. - The whole site comes across as a bit of a skeezy sales letter. You're a designer, you're better than that. I realise this is the favoured approach f

I read it a few months ago; good at what it professes to be - a quick guide for beginners. Definitely worth reading and got me over the first few learning hurdles of Node.

What would be awesome: a way to sync my nvALT/Simplenote notes (in Markdown) into Evernote along with mixed-media content (scanned receipts, web clippings etc) that I'd create in Evernote only

I played with a production prototype yesterday, it's really cool. Would make a great gift or trinket. Well made and from a team ( http://mintdigital.com/ ) with a history of shipping cool products — http://stickygram.com/ https://www.f

I've been testing this for the past week or so - used it for a couple of client presentations and it's absolutely fantastic.

Decent post - it's always interesting to see people write openly about times when they messed up (and heartening to know that everyone does)

Hit the (skeuomorphic) nail on the head. There are many forms of skeuomorphism, and it's important to distinguish them from each other. Visual kitsch is cheap in a different way to outdated metaphors that hold back the possibilities of digi

Hey - was in your beta when it first came out - tried it once and then didn't go back. To me it just wasn't instantly gratifying - too much setting up to do before it got compelling. Happy to give it another go because it's been quite a whi

Totally agree with this post - I was a 'JavaScript =~ jQuery' guy before I picked up Backbone - writing hopelessly average jQuery spaghetti (with the best of intentions - I'm a designer and had never looked at JS as a programming language.

FreeAgent is fantastic for invoicing - slick, simple UI, and baked into accounting & tax calculation tools (I've only used it in the UK but I believe they rolled it out to the US recently too)
