I want to have 20+ exercises by the time the course is complete. There are about 13 planned as of now, so if you have suggestions or topics that you think would make good Go programming exercises I'd love to hear them =D EDIT: And in o

It still could. Many people buy their kids cheap tablets now because buying them an ipad is too expensive, and later in life those kids will be familiar enough with the Android ecosystem that they may never switch to Apple devices. If those

EDIT: Leaving the original comment below for posterity, but it looks like the TextMate article I found on this doesn't predate ST's multi-select, so I have no idea which is true. I'll just take the ST devs at their word :) In

As someone who uses both editors daily, Atom is simply better for Go because of the plugins there. go-plus is amazing and its maintainers do a fantastic job. That said, ST is still significantly better for many other tasks and I end up usin

Kudos to the ST team for never trying to patent or sue random companies for using the multi-select feature. That feature alone has helped improve so many editors.

I honestly don't see any reason for Sublime Text to ever be more free than it is. The unlicensed version works as well as the paid version. The only real usability difference is that it asks you about a license every so often. If that

Author here - happy to answer any questions. This course is intended to be like Michael Hartl's Rails Tutorial, but for Go. Happy to go into more detail, but that should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Any suggestions as to how those rules for professional conduct would be enforced? A lawyer can be disbarred, and this is easy to enforce because they can't go into a courtroom and defend or prosecute afterwards. Developers have no equi

As much as I'd love to see something like this succeed, I can't see it happening. CC companies have too many incentives to force you to carry their physical card, so they will keep on producing things like the chip-and-PIN tech. T

Sometimes it isn't about you, but it is about the guests themselves. My wife and I opted to do both physical + digital for our wedding and we found that the older crowd all relied on physical invites and info for things like the schedu

I prefer the bare minimum approach. That is, if you NEED the user resource to access the event (eg the primary key is like [user ID, event ID]) then nest it in the url. Otherwise if an object has its own ID and could otherwise be accessed i

This book doesn't cover testing at all. I wanted to, but there just wasn't room for it and it would have lead to information overload. What I am thinking about doing is writing a companion book that covers git, testing, etc. Eg af
