I did this last year, and made around 500-600. I don't know how long I spent on it and if it was really worth it or not. I certainly made a bunch of progress on my understanding of code, and what it takes to make a good release. I have anot

The most useful part of this article for me was that really nice ssh tunnel that they posted. https://github.com/apenwarr/sshuttle

this is a really good idea. It makes me wonder about setting my twitter client to follow alternate sources.

I don't know how feasible this is, but a demo would be totally awesome. I am guilty of just having a demo video myself, and I think that it really cuts into my sales in a ton of cases.

brainport is some amazing technology. I love the concept of overloading senses that you aren't currently using.

I didn't realize how true this was, in reading this page this morning, I decided that he was just lying about Google, Apple and MS licensing the patent, of course they don't need to do anything for him to grant them license. It would probab

I am super glad he has released this. He is not joking about compiling javascript core for iOS being painful, I dumped many hours into it. It would have been nice of him to release the project files just for jsc under MIT or something, but

I am using openframeworks for games and music toys on the iphone. It happens occasionally. Processing I mostly use for prototyping before I go to c sometimes. It is a bit quicker to write out code and the like.

there seems to be some problem with the lighting. Actually it is not a problem, just something that would add immensely to the realism. If you do per vertex normals, rather than face normals, then you will get smooth lighting across the fac

I think that the way to deal with micropayments is to sell them in bundles, like xboxlive points (MSDollars?). I could see amazon getting behind this with other platforms. Having your own currency is really nice for lock in, etc.

this is exactly it. the problem with the rules is that apple requires any app that makes money outside of the app to also give apple a way to skim. Apple could of course just enforce this for the apps that they are direct competitors with,

I should have used anticompetitive, apologies. The issue that I am seeing here is the following, and this may be a gross misinterpretation of the rules that apple has put forth. I get a dropbox monthly account. I access my dropbox account t

I think that the antitrust suits are just around the corner. Which is good, because there are a ton of corner cases beyond the obvious ones that just got damaged. I think the books / movies / tv are just the ones that we heard about first.

I am unclear on how 80*12 dollars is profitable, altho, I guess if you only worked on this 70 mins a day for a year, I guess that comes out to 4 dollars an hour, but you must have worked on this on the weekends as well... I guess you are on
