I erred on the side of caution. :) I've successfully run Arch on a set of 10 EeePC 901s for a club. Linux plus Arduino programming = awesome kids.

Which ones provide a similar approach to Arch? A six-year-old 32-bit processor (e.g. an Atom in an EeePC 901 or HP Mini 311c) is more than capable of running a modern desktop system.

One tactic I use for opening emails is to write the question or point in the subject line (e.g. not "Meeting" but "Today's meeting is at 10:00 in 94a"). For the majority of situations this means easier comprehension

They don't currently - they use Stripe for card handling. Ideally they should probably be using Stripe's own recurring payment feature rather than storing card numbers themselves.
