It's slower, but once you are out of the toy project stage and you are trying to sync 2 databases - where relations get changed and logic gets updated, it is really hard to keep multiple DBs synced. Factor it dev vs. production DB setu

I am used 3+ Vector Databases (Pinecone, qdrant, and pgvector). I prefer Pgvector by miles.

We were in the same situation as you with our startup. Heroku was killing us. Just bite bullet and go to AWS. It's not bad at all. I did hit a snag with RDS - but found a helpful consultant who helped me for a few hours. He made good m

Yeb - we use pgvector in production[0]. Great results. There are some secret sauce stuff, but basically - depending on your source material and your user use-case you have to do more than just call cosine similarity and call it a day. (Most

Yea - super dynamic actually with web sockets and server sent events all over the place. All what your would expect from a modern SPA SaaS.

Best thing is the dev productivity and speed of shipping. Basically, 1 person does what 3 people would do at half the time. There is a bit of challenge with separation of concern as the team gets bigger, but definitely worth it.

"I can't avoid feeling that the new direction taken by Next.js is not designed to help developers, but to help Vercel sell React. You can't really sell a service around SPAs: once compiled, a SPA is a single JS file that can

If you are on the fence about using htmx in production. my startup[0] uses it exclusively for our frontend (with like 2 lines of hyperscript. It’s sister library). No complaints and boy, it’s such a fresh breath of increased productivity an
