Unfortunately I'm paid hourly and remotely, so while getting settled, checking an email or two, getting coffee, etc are all things I would do as part of a normal workday, I don't tend to log those hours or get paid for any of it

It's insane. I need a drug that costs about $8k every two months in the US. However, I'm living in Canada right now, where it costs $4k. My US insurance company just decided they will no longer cover the drug in Canada, so instead

The article isn't responsible for the recent re-purposing of the phrase "Nevertheless, she persisted", and I think it's a relevant connection to make. And I read the "Nevertheless, she coded" as more of a globa

I feel lucky that in my high school days of excessive gaming, my game of choice was Garry's Mod, and I was really into modding it and creating new gamemodes for it. This meant that beyond the social connections that multiplayer gaming

Except the world isn't run by some computer blindly following a strict set of rules. Obviously if someone orders a steak and lobster meal, they might not deserve the same treatment. If someone orders a vegetarian meal, or a kosher meal

I'm not sure "you can google quotes on topics easily" is true if you're looking for a specific quotation that captures a feeling you're trying to get across in writing. When you happen to stumble upon a quotation th

I disagree strongly. If you from an engineering perspective are the only one who truly recognizes the implications of a management decision, you need to speak up about it.

I think you're missing arh68's point. If it's supposed to find the magic number, and by definition the comment is allowed to contain the magic number, then this section of the code should (correctly) diagnose that this is not

Since everyone knows what they're getting into with a tech interview, I don't see why it's such a bad metric. Many companies purposefully give you a rubric/criteria to study. It's a good way of measuring whether a c
