We should install solar panels over those lots at the same time. It covers some of the capacity need, cools the lot and the cars, and is an efficient use of space.

Why hasn't the B-52 ever been updated to use a high-bypass turbofan like the GE90 (777), CF6 (747-4), or GEnx (747-8)? It seems like it would be an easy win for efficiency and maintenance.

Since CCPA was superseded at the ballot box by CPRA (2020 Prop 24), that would probably govern (basically the reason CPRA exists). - https://www.insideprivacy.com/ccpa/californians-approve-ball... - https://

Not really germane to the topic, but a financial transactions tax would effectively kill HFT without the complexity that you're suggesting.

The FTC (or congress) should mandate this for everything. The price for something should be the final, out the door price. It's amazing to travel in the UK and buy something at the supermarket. If it says £1, then that's the cost

Just use a $12-$15 HDMI->USB capture card off eBay/Amazon. They work incredibly well and you don't have to deal with buggy software. I've been using my GH3 as a webcam since the beginning of the pandemic. I bought this one

Grab an old Panasonic GH3 and the 20mm f1.8 lens. It looks great. This is a pretty decent list: https://www.elgato.com/en/cam-link/camera-check

Agreed. I set up a really nice webcam by using a Mirrorless Full Frame camera and my wife refuses to use it when she sits at my desk. She doesn't want her coworkers to see her with that much detail and clarity. By the way, just using a

Two things to know as well. WIC only pays for certain sizes for formula[0] purchased at retail because they're afraid that poor women will stock up on formula or resell it. Also women have to pay part of the cost of the formula for the

The issue here is that the FDA and Abbot didn't treat it as an emergency when the Abbot facility was forced to close in the first place. Had they acted as if it was an emergency, they would have mobilized all available resources to cle

Not that HN is really the place for this discussion, but the _news_ section of the WSJ is pretty neutral and well written. The _opinion_ page is very slanted towards "corporatist/capitalist views".
