I often wonder about price when I see great domain names like this. Sometimes they seem to boost the product and many times it doesn't matter. I saw a post on reddit about examine.com. I think the guy said he paid like 40k for the doma

The old recaptcha takes good sites and gives them terrible user experience. I tried to order tickets one time on ticketmaster and actually gave up because I couldn't get past the captcha. I hate current captchas with a passion and I ho

I work from home a lot, stream spotify, but don't really stream video. I average less than 100GB per month. However i could easily see how streaming netflix or other services could cause someone to go over the 300GB data usage. My larg

This is the major thing. The bad ones don't do any homeworks and basically just spam based on keywords. The good ones at the least look at my profile/resume and can articulate why I would be a good fit for position X based on my h

That's the way I read it too and I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this. Unless I'm missing something Google is allowing XSS for their own domains in chrome.

I'd bet the others had similar non-competes. However, Amazon is becoming notorious for trying to enforce them.

When it's pretty standard practice not everyone can just turn down the jobs. So I weight the risk versus the reward. Very low risk of them actually enforcing it on a peon like me. Reward is a keep a roof over my family's head. If

I find this too. When we were acquired we (group of employees) had lawyers come in (to a bar) to go over the agreement the new company required we signed. The lawyer basically said not to sign it because they could probably enforce it. Ulti

This is the problem I have with a lot of software. We're supposed to use redhat, for example, but don't subscribe to the RHEL repos. So I then I have to go add EPEL repos or find whatever repo the actual piece of software I want i

A coworker is doing a project in New Zealand and he loves it. It seems like the overall work environment in New Zealand is pretty good. When he told me the office didn't have free coffee a thought it was terrible. Until he explained yo

Even in the US. If you feel like you've missed out on a job based on discrimination you still have to prove it and no employer is going to actually put "too old" in writing.

The biggest problems for me having nothing to do with science and everything to do with social pressures / self control. I was on a keto diet (low carb/high fat) and lost about 45 pounds. Then I started having to travel for work a

The problem is for many people eating "normal" is what caused them to get so big in the first place. Most people in the US don't seem to see their diet as out of the ordinary even if they hit fast-food joints for every meal.

I use MFP and weigh my food. Everyone gets caught up on the science and numbers. Ultimately, it doesn't matter if the calories are exact or not. If you aren't losing weight then you trim some more out of your diet. If you are losi

For me it's not the sugar it's the caffeine. Also the taste and bubbles. But caffeine is a physical addiction that is literally painful to break.
