Not highly risky but they do provide some potential risks to natural hormone production, blood pressure, etc. Orals have liver risks. Most of these risks can be mitigated by proper post cycle therapy. The big side effects you hear about are

I find this interesting. How do people collaborate? Did most of your team work the same hours? Do you just schedule meetings from noon-4? I would personally hate that schedule as someone with a family.

IBM had us sign something that said we couldn't work on outside projects without permission. It seems like it's not that difficult to get permission. Most people just ignore it. When we got notice of the acquisition a group of dev

There is a while industry of Pay Per View (PPV) ad networks that basically operate this way. A few that come to mind: Trafficvance, LeadImpact, Media Traffic and DirectCPV. I don't know where Trafficvance gets their traffic but it seem

Usually those kind of ads get shot down just on trademark. At least that's been my experience. I could never bid a term like that in adwords.

Usually season tickets in the US are actual paper tickets to each game which can then be divided or resold.

Interesting. IBM also acquired a startup I worked for (Vivisimo) because of the search technology. We never really focused on web crawling though. We dealt mostly with enterprise systems. Now we're a part of Watson too. Also the Alchem

I've gone through 30x500 which is kind of what shifted my focus to products. I haven't really taken any action with that yet though but it seems to work for some others.

With some startups it's hard to distinguish between the two to be honest. I almost feel like the way the media covers startups they are a "get rich quick scheme". What percentage have a successful exit? I don't know. I d

Yeah it's all about managing cashflow. That's how the entire thing works. Affiliates float money hoping the network pays. The network floats money hoping the advertiser pays. When the advertiser can't pay a lot of people disa

Founding a real startup with real products also leads to failure most of the time. We just hear about the successes more often on HN.

Looking back now I think I would try to not make money via ads on my blogs and instead create some info product that I could have sold to that audience. A complement to the information that they were already coming to the site to get.

To be fair I did point out that blowing the money was an obvious mistake on my part. Those numbers don't include expenses either. Actually most of the money was lost to testing new ideas.

I'm sure there is a mod. It actually might come with the game. I'm pretty sure my old AMD phenom and video card wouldn't handle it.

I made a rule to never pre-order after SimCity 5. I broke that rule when I saw the price of skylines, the small dev team that was producing it, and the support they wanted to put in for modders.
