I recall in the late 2000s Microsoft had some of the best mice and keyboards on the market, but you'd never know they existed unless you happened upon them.

If you have a specific product that you are looking for and it is eligible for Prime then I have found this to be the experience. Where I have not found that is if I am browsing, e.g. today I wanted to look for an evaporative humidifier. Th

I used to use this trick when I worked as a photographer of used cars. You'd get some 10-20 fobs and be expected to walk a lot of ~300+ cars and take images of them. Holding the fob up to your chin was the trick to finding the right ve

Give Brave browser a shot - it blocks ads out of the box and the experience is just as described in your first point.

Oof, this hits home for me. I've got the same color blindness as the author. The camping system Ontario uses for booking camp sites has a problem similar to the Kayak diagram the author shows. When choosing a site on a virtual map, the

That is something I really dislike about the react-query docs, the examples are code sandboxes. Glad to see they didn't go that path here. I find they add a lot of friction when I am looking for a quick reference.

It does seem as though larger banks can only work with entities that fit inside their self-described personas. If you do not align exactly with one of their personas - good luck. At least that is what I have seen here in Canada, I imagine t

I was surprised to pop into the comments and read the same in the first few top posts. Now I want a follow-up article from the author, haha.

I love reading about 3dfx as their hardware had a great deal of impact on my preteen years (gaming night and day). I'm always amazed to read how small some of these 90s tech companies were.

This is great. I tried to spin up a small project over the Christmas break and got bogged down with so many options for buying an esp32 and then struggled working through the docs. I previously worked with an Arduino Uno years ago and that

Agreed - everything slows down and it is absolutely wonderful. The world through a view camera is a beauty in itself. I never got a chance to use a 8x10 but I imagine it is even more incredible. I still have my Toyo 45AII tucked away. Last

Where I am in Canada, if you wanted all that content for that price you'd also be stuck with a lot of content you did not want. If you wanted a la carte offerings then you'd pay a premium for going outside the packages they offere

Wow, I grew up during the mid-90s when the internet was just starting to consume the world. Diablo (Battle.net) and QuakeWorld were my jams at the time. After that came the MMORPGs of the late 90s, Ultima Online and Asheron's Call. Goo

You might enjoy Japanese iced coffee. I find that cold brew tastes the same no matter the quality of coffee (therefore great for lower quality coffees) where as Japanese iced coffee retains the original notes of the coffee.

I'm currently working at a growth-stage company, and I wonder if its the worst of the two worlds. We used to get things done quickly, and now we have all these bureaucratic layers inserted. But they are also immature in that folks are
