that solves the problem for suppliers, but creates one for consumers with lower competition. Less competition, higher prices. *just noticed I was down voted, likely by MichaelApproved because he has 7500 Karma and I only have 156. I'

Ha! sso.tax, what a great site. As an IT person I always thought this same thing with SSO - even if you have an identity provider, it's often under utilized because nearly everything else needs to go to enterprise pricing for SAML aut

As someone currently interviewing, with 10ys exp scaling multiple successful companies, I couldn't agree more. Some of the tech questions I've been asked are so useless in practice it's unnerving.

True when you have all the dependencies already compiled. If you are working with it in Docker though, it needs to compile the whole shebang the first time you start it up. It usually took 3+ minutes to get the day started. And any time

In me experience using Phoenix, it takes an eternity to compile. I imagine that turns a lot of folks off to begin with.

This is a great way explain kubernetes. I'm a veteran user and I'm finding it delightful to read. Consider selling an e-book :)

i love rclone. my only gripe is that the "sync" command doesn't really seem to act like a sync - it overwrites the target directory with the source directory, there is no synchronization between the two. It was just unexpect

Hrm....and why do those state actors work against Venezuelas interest? Perhaps they have aligned themselves with other other oppressive global regimes which nationalize resources to be managed by friends and family rather than competitive e

Nerds work on locomotives and heavy machinery too. Those hard working folks are smart also. Unless your talking in a pirate voice, this is a nerd term for anything that kills something instantly.

my heart goes out to all Venezuelans right now. Their poorly run government pretty much bet the entire farm on oil and with the depreciation in recent years it was already tough living there. At a price close to 0, it can not be good.

i've used a lawn mower many many times and there is no part of it I would have called a "dead mans switch". I'm sure it's technically there, but knowing the name is hardly a requirement. Also, i'm certain ther

i don't think the target audience of this app wants to think about being a "dead man", or dead anything, when this app would be useful. It's a fun nerd term, but if your life is actually in danger it's far from whe

I've been running K8s since it's first stable released. It worked wonderfully for a 30 micro-service stack of node.js and Scala applications for a financial services company. I would never want to manage that many services in ec2

I just switched to Linux on an lightly used LG gram after being on Mac for 10 years. $1300, 1TB nvme, 24gb ram, 15" edgeless screen, weighs less than 3lbs, and charger is lighter. Also has a full touch screen. Do I miss retina display?
