New rule: as long as companies can donate infinite amounts of money to lobbyists and politicians, employees can organize around political issues within those companies. If either of those is wrong, I’d say they both are.

I'm using an ice40 FPGA to make a camera. It reads an image from an image sensor, writes it to an SDRAM, and then writes the SDRAM content to an SD card. Doing all that with a regular CPU would require lots of specialized peripherals (

I've never understood why ISPs and cellular carriers aren't prepaid by default, which would avoid the credit system entirely. Do these companies benefit somehow by being post-paid and relying on credit?

It should be standard practice for the operator of a firearm to check whether it's loaded with blanks or live rounds. Pushing that responsibility off to an 'armorer' invites situations like this.

The $200 deposit would effectively never be refunded though right? I think libraries would see a huge decline in usage if a library card cost $200, even if it's a lifetime membership.
