I feel exactly the same way. I was hoping I could get a "minimal" setup to edit Python code, and even that was too much to ask for. "Code folding? What's code folding precious? What's code folding?" --Smeagol A

Some possible reasons: - "breaks" browser history - obsolete with middle-click, open-in-new-tab - doesn't work well on mobile? - it's a coin toss whether or not the link you're opening will open in a new page or not

I'm trying to picture this. So I have LT open, and then I interact with it via a 3rd party terminal application? Maybe the terminal app can "pull" output from LT (or LT "pushes" output to the terminal app?

Would a terminal interface (maybe as a plugin) be feasible in the future? I'm cursed with Vim, and I'd love to use this as a REPL for development.

Does anyone else think the name is unfortunate? I can't imagine how difficult it would be to google "om".

I'm really excited about this. Until now I've hated working with Javascript because of a combination of the language itself, and its primary domain (the DOM). Seeing React.js at JSConf.asia last month got me excited that I don

Ah, I'm not in the US. :) Just never heard/thought of the title before, but it caught my eye and I thought I would enjoy that kind of work more than just being a developer.

I think Wings3D[1] is a better fit for 3d editor with Vim-like semantics, with a much more intuitive UI/UX for 3d modeling. [1] http://wings3d.com

Ever since I started getting into Clojure, I've been getting interested in these other functional programming languages. Lately I've been checking out Elixir. I don't know what draws me to it (most likely the pretty website a

I do the same, and my "core" is less obscure than yours. I'm worried. What is this cracklib thing? Do I just provide it my password and it tells me stuff?

Google did this as well. It's extremely annoying. They're basically telling users to "Fuck off, we don't have time for you. Go ask your questions somewhere else."

Another top offender is F.lux. You set it up one time and forget about it, and yet it doesn't have the option to remove it from the menu bar.

Oh ok. Not familiar with Node.js but if it means getting out of Java then definitely worth a deeper look. Thanks. Have any links to quickstart type tutorials? Something that allows someone to deploy a (toy) webapp?

Agree on the Java ecosystem. I deployed a toy app using Tomcat a couple of months ago, and now I have no idea how to update it. I lost the "tutorial" I found and can't remember what it was (stupid mistake), but still, the fac

I've been looking for a replacement for Sparrow ever since they got acquired. All of the ones I've tried were very "choppy" compared to how smooth Sparrow is. I hope they offer a demo so I can try it out.

I would if there was hardware that's as good as the Macbook Air. I know that it can run Ubuntu, but I'm not sure how well the trackpad and battery perform. And with the upcoming Mavericks, that bar is going to get a lot higher.
