Is this the future of postmortems? "We tweaked a random seed, and it resulted in unfavorable random outcomes. "

Silver lining in this I guess. If everyone realizes at the same time they're all f'd together, regardless of "skill", then maybe there's a chance we can all work together to save ourselves. No chance to think "

heh that’s a great idea as a gift. you can change the subject about anything. just in time for the holiday season. it’s still usable as a notebook or sketchpad if nothing else.

Would be cool to see something like this used for the next iteration of Civilization.

I use the + technique, but I've been doubtful of its effectiveness. It's easy enough to remove the text after the +.

Yeah, I guess that works for characters like Mickey Mouse. But for every Mickey Mouse there are hundreds or thousands of other characters that are less widely known.

If you somehow accidentally generate Mickey Mouse and decide to monetize it, how are you going to defend yourself that your prompt didn't include "Mickey Mouse" or something?

When I was learning to draw, one technique to help spot errors is to flip the drawing upside down. This made misaligned features, bad proportions, weird perspective issues immediately jump out. Maybe it's the same effect.

Care to share some links? My lack of GPU is the main blocker for me from playing with local-only options. I have an old laptop with 16GB RAM and no GPU. Can I run these models?

latest versions of iOS is actually pretty good about this, at least for Facebook Messenger. It will let you choose specific photos to upload, and the app can only read those. And afterwards you can even revoke those permissions.

At which point, maybe a "GUI-interface" will be cheaper to build and maintain in the long run. Now if AI could automagically update inventory data with what's actually physically happening on the lot, that would be cool.

It was cheaper the last time I looked at it. $5.00/mo for Mozilla, and Mullvad is Euro5.00/mo.

And I guess a lot more people now know about Mozilla VPN. No such thing as bad publicity I guess?

I wouldn't mind seeing Mozilla VPN ads in the Settings menu or the 'new tab' page tbh. But injecting it on top of web pages directly is just scummy.

I'm hoping a future version will allow using hidden markup that's already in the DOM rather than fetching from the server.

This and the author's other books are really great. There's CGI animation for some of them too and they are really well done. My family are huge fans.

I've been researching JS frameworks recently for a personal project. Like you, my experience is with backend, old-school Django-style HTML multi-page apps, with some interactivity in specific parts of a page. Things I thought that were

You could probably split up the image into smaller pieces (let's call it slicing), put them together in a table, and only update the cells that changed.

Off-topic, but is there a similar federated alternative to Reddit? e.g. each subreddit can be its own server.
