To be clear, do unredeemed tips stay in or eventually get returned to the balance? BTW, a@ai is a valid and IIRC actually used email address. :)

I'd like to drop $500 to $1k for git-annex into tip4commit. This is money that was donated to me in a crowdfunding campaign ( http://campaign.joeyh.name/ ) and set aside to get more people committing to git-annex than ju

Just to be clear, Debian didn't do this, I did. And only, so far in one package, which can be used to mirror Debian or various of its derivatives.

http://bugs.debian.org/608996 is the (duplicate) bug that was fixed by Debian developers. (I'd say more, but I've long ago stopped commenting on Ubuntu for similar reasons as Martin Gräßlin.)

obnam's speed is mostly determined by file size and latency. With large files and low latency, it can push several megabytes a second off my laptop. It's pretty excellent in every other respect.

Here's how to do it: 1. Contribute a driver to the kernel. A network driver would be ideal, but any driver will do. Include a binary firmware blob, because including binary firmware blobs in drivers is how linux kernel devs roll (or ho

Seems that if you're really paranoid, gpg --gen-key --batch with an approptiate batch file can make 8192 or larger keys. Currently trying to generate a 81920 bit key, for general giggles and to increase my NSA rating.

There are several projects that make the haskell type checker run on the fly (more or less) as code is entered in an editor. ghc-mod is one; hdevtools is another; FP complete has a web based haskell editor with on the fly type checking too.

For backup, you could use duplicity or obnam, both of which gpg encrypt incremental backups. For file storage, you can use git-annex which gpg encrypts data stored on rsync special remotes. I hope to add gpg encrypted git repositories to it
