I thought it was broken until I decided to try it in another browser. I guess it works in Chrome on Windows but not Firefox on Windows. Not sure if it works in Safari or not since I don't have my macbook handy right now.

I like the storing of the ln command in the file itself. I think I might implement something like that myself with my own dotfiles. I've been keeping the ln commands in a readme but I never really liked having to update that readme eac

I disagree. If there are orders (orders with an 's', meaning more than one order) of magnitude more easy targets, why would any lawyer go after a rarer and harder target? That makes no logical/financial sense.

I think the reason behind that is simple: In my experience, there are orders of magnitude more not-entirely-ADA-compliant websites than there are sites with banners such as the ones you mentioned. But yeah, I don't know if the site-isn

I'm not so sure that "solving" accessibility at the browser level would eliminate those kinds of lawsuits. It might be able to be argued that their "client" uses a different browser that doesn't include those a

> Also have trouble with shortcut overlapping in neovim and aerc. I'm curious what you mean by this. Doesn't Vim use almost every key on the keyboard, so wouldn't this be a problem with pretty much any program?

This is an interesting idea. Though I think it'll be tough to differentiate what exactly constitutes a middle man, and therefore hard/impossible to enact. Would marketplaces (such as Amazon) be considered a middle man? If so, good

It really seems like the obvious solution. I can't believe that they haven't considered it, so then that would mean they _did_ consider it and decided that it's better for them to do what they're doing and just blame any

I would assume it's more due to them not realizing that this isn't just something that periodically happens at the park (like Old Faithful). It might seem unusual, but they don't know how unusual or dangerous it is. It might

Interesting idea, though I think that having it be $5K (or any fixed amount) no matter the size of the company favors large companies, since large companies can probably spend more to reduce the risk of getting hacked. Hell, it might even i

Watcom was pretty big in the C/C++ world in the 90's, I think. I was only doing a little bit of C/C++ programming back then but I kept hearing about it.

I'm totally fine with that kind of question being closed because of that -- that's not what that site is for. It's supposed to be an answer mill... that's _exactly_ what the site is for.

What is "(Vf guvf ahnaprq haqrefgnaqvat be vf vg vafvahngvba?)"? Is this a romanization of Russian? Or is it some sort of coded message? What does it mean? Despite agreeing with the bulk of your post I'm hesitant to upvote so

"Protect democracy and freedom" contrasts starkly with seeking refuge in Russia and becoming a Russian citizen. In many ways, he's the _perfect_ mouthpiece for anti-US propaganda. I'm not sure what that doesn't give

Look at it this way, if someone is paid to say good things about the company they work for, you take what they say with a grain of salt, don't you? Snowden's situation is similar to this, in a way. He's being paid (by being a

I think that's why they mentioned Ukraine - to point out that it's always in Snowden's best interest to be critical of the US and US things, and remind us to bear that in mind when considering him and what he says.

The Pi Pico is not a "huge form factor". It fits better on breadboard than pretty much anything with an ESP32 on it (since it's less wide), and it provides access to most of the RP2040 pins. Since the PIO can drive a lot of p

offtopic, but: I think when your footnotes themselves need footnotes, there's probably a clearer way to write what you wanted to write. Jumping through multiple levels of nested footnotes is fairly hard to read, at least for me.

I don't think it's uncommon for a feature to start as opt-in, then turn to opt-out, then finally turn to built-in, so it makes sense to me to be wary if the feature is something you don't want in something typically light and
