We have some of that already (design rule checks, spice simulations, etc). But in this case, the author did the layout and routing by hand not by AI, and those parts are _most_ of the work of making a PCB.

I can't believe I never knew about this! This could be useful to some of my workflows. I just looked it up and here's an official help page about it: https://support.apple.com/en-tm/guide/mac-help/mc

But why do they need to emphasize it even more than the examples they gave? The "AV1 with FGS @ 2804 kbps" already looks as good or better than the "AV1 (without FGS) @ 8274 kbps", so it'll definitely look better th

Odd, I only got one wrong, and it gave me a 10/20 score at the end. Is the scoring not 1-to-1? edit: Oh, I see. Once you get one wrong the game ends immediately, but the score includes the full 20 rounds that you're supposed to ge

Nice metrics and visualizations! The kind of graph you used for the destination matrix doesn't always feel very useful, but in this case it worked really well. One thing I immediately thought to check after seeing your hours graph was

That's a good question. In order to know whether or not the AI was wrong, you'd need to do some research. Otherwise it's about as reliable as any "fact" some random person on the internet claims to be true.

I wonder the same thing too. Especially since there are all kinds of different techniques that people recommend. And because the ideal length of time for the different phases must surely vary from person to person, since it's a physiol

I'm basing what I said on the comment I was replying to which said that they _already_ figured out that they have neighbors. Given the level of scientific understanding in the 1600s, it seems highly likely that they'd have to have

No thanks. Then it just causes confusion when some people use the roman numerals and other people convert them to arabic numerals. Especially for cases like Applause and Crosstalk mentioned above.

It's an interesting idea (truly a clever way to accomplish this!), but I think it's addressing the symptom, not the problem. The symptom is that some jacks don't have associated knobs. The problem is that either the module de

In that case, "art generated with code" is the overall umbrella which contains the demoscene, and the AI art scene, and many other scenes. So it's not what the demoscene is turning into, for the same reason you wouldn't

I think the genart scene and demoscene might be at best related, but I don't think the genart scene _is_ the modern demoscene, as you seem to be implying. (That said, I'm assuming by "genart" you either mean modern AI-ba

I'm a chronic procrastinator when it comes to updating macOS, and I can confidently say that it asks me about updating _at most_ once a week (if even that), not every day and certainly not multiple times in the same day.

I think it'd be interesting to see this implemented more like a crossword, with everything on a grid (though a 1D grid in this case). Then you could see how many letters you're looking for (which helps avoid some ambiguities that

I used to use Mixxx a lot about a decade ago when I was DJing weekly in some bars and also had a weekly radio show. It was great. I'm glad to see it's still around and going strong.
