Yea no way. Unless you jailbreak. I would love it, though. The iPhone, iPad and now this thing would be great if there we could just opt to jailbreak without risks. I don’t jailbreak my phone because it’s risky and I don’t mind having it st

Maybe for Apple development, but given that it’s positioned as an iOS-type device, the public will never get a native terminal on this thing. It would be unprecedented.

> What real live human being actually wants a twitter feed from Doritos? The scary answer: people we share the world with. People on the roads with us. People who make decisions that can impact our lives.

I didn't see any mention of it in all the material I've seen so far. Seems like a missed opportunity for applications which require external hardware but lower latency than streaming across wifi.

It performs better on modern hardware and fixes a number of issues in the original game. This is generally the purpose of source ports. It also simplifies modding, as you can use the launcher to enable/disable mods as you like. Graphic

This will be the end for me, after being a constant customer since 2018. I absolutely need this feature and will have to find another product.

I've been doing it for the last four days and eating as I otherwise would. I think it's helping. My tongue is noticeably less inflamed. I'm still getting acid in my mouth when I lay down to sleep, though. I recommend trying i

A neat solution, but you can’t alter the position of the argument per function.

What do you mean by wrapping the command in ()? I haven't seen this before. Do you have a link to where they mention this in the docs?

I think having intermediate variables is sort of 'littering', and requires extra work in the naming which might not be necessary. Also, with pipes, you can just take out any intermediate step by commenting out a line or deleting i

Yes, but try using this and then try Julia's way. I tried this pandas implementation once and never touched it again.

by joeman1000 3y ago
What do you mean? Julia is 1-indexed.

by joeman1000 3y ago
The thing that keeps me coming back to Julia is the ability to pipe (or whatever you want to call it). It makes DataFrame operations a lot cleaner since I don't need to modify in place or create new DFs at intermediate steps in a proce

I think this is necessary for quotes in LaTeX. Could also be the same for something horrible that ESR would use, like `troff` or `groff`.

What do you mean? What is the hallway shuffle? I can’t say I’ve ever wanted to drive on the left, as an Aussie, and don’t hear this sentiment even from people who collect LHD cars. I even own an LHD car, so I’m not being dogmatic here. I ju

Whenever an older person mentions the “labour shortage” I always make a point of telling them it’s really a *pay shortage*. Older people don’t realise that wages haven’t truly increased for a long time. Our buying power is incredibly small

I bet this guys ‘work’ consists of non-stop meetings and nothing else. Anecdotally, in offices I’ve worked at, the people there are constantly yakking, in pointless meetings, discussing nonsense… all day. This is about 80% of the people in

Of course, as the current top comment mentions: because most people don’t want to make programs. Computing in the 80s was limited to nerds, business users and a school kids. All of these groups have some incentive or drive to write programs
