What was most shocking to me was that it took a week to migrate 40GB. I once migrated 1TB from RDS Oracle to RDS Aurora MySQL in 6 hours. I'm not familiar with Supabase, maybe there's a lot more to the data migration process?

This. We're a small company that used to have a full rack in a colo, and have completely migrated to AWS 6 years ago. Our cloud costs are ~20x what our colo cost was. There are things we use in the cloud (DynamoDB, Aurora, CDN, etc.)
