The omission rules are what I see bungled most these days, as well as typographical things like the wrong version of the smart apostrophe appearing in the wrong place. Errors like "They want to outlaw Christian's" are easily

Are you willing to share a link to the specific chair you have? "Stressless" appears to be both a brand name and a type of recliner, which makes it difficult to search for.

That’s a really good point, I’ve had to redo diagrams before to fit them into a presentation, and because they were sprawling all over the place in Figma or Miro, they required extra work to fit correctly and be readable. Powerpoint or Goog

Gantt charts are also instantly understandable by leadership types, people in Sales/Marketing, etc. The same can't be said for a lot of the other cool-kid artifacts flying around these days.

Neither have been effective for me. I look for posts by hiring managers on Linkedin, and go from there -- e.g., look for a mutual connection to give a warm intro, message the hiring manager, etc.

I love Shredded Wheat. I have mine with a almond milk and a tiny bit of peanut butter or even shards of dark chocolate. It's a delicious and healthy snack after dinner that satisfies a craving for dessert.

I've never worked at Amazon, but this is something I really envy about my friends who do. I love a well-written, concise document, but the large enterprise I work at now is in love with Google Slides. I can't stand them.

This is very good advice: > Also contact a good estate lawyer. Who can often be the same as elder care lawyer. They’ll help you get a lot of the estate and also powers of attorney in order. This has been worth every penny, because the la

Yes. The people who "practice SEO" are pure cringe, and watching people buy into their snake oil is cringeworthy as well.

I have two criteria: 1. Reviews by that author/site are exhaustive, not one-paragraph reheated press releases. 2. Reviews by that author/site are sometimes negative. A site that has all positive reviews is just a marketing brochur

I knew a Sales guy who made the dual-job arrangement work. One job was high commission, low salary; the other job was low commission, high salary. He busted his ass at the high-commission job and earned his high commission, and just did not

I've been seeing ads for a while, or at least I thought I had. Are you sure that you just started seeing ads today? (Specifically, I saw a giant "billboard" ad at the top of the screen.)

I don't mind them. Some feel more forced than others. That said, there's a time and a place to use them. A layoff announcement is possibly the worst place to use them, perhaps second to a death announcement. "Today we are dev
