Fun fact: the latest version of this software uses SwiftKey under the hood - http://swiftkey.com/en/blog/swiftkey-reveals-role-professor-... (Disclaimer: I used to work for SwiftKey)

Sorry, can you explain why? If the checksum is provided (as part of the sh snippet) by the website with the SSL certificate, isn't that enough reassurance?

Would this be better if the pasted command included some checksum which was checked before piping into the `sh`? Can anyone who's better at bash than me give an example of how this could work in a relatively cross-platform way?

Would there be any adverse effects on the world if people took note of this, causing the distribution of birthdays to change so that there was a significant spike during the May-July low-risk period?

If you had a language model (say, trained on existing comments from Reddit), you could encode the data in the comments in English, and make the abuse a little more subtle.

I guess the drone wouldn't be able to launch from the water if it had landed upside-down? (As a concept, this is amazing - excited to see how well it works in practice.)

I left my job in the UK nearly nine months ago. I travelled overland through Europe to Turkey while working on a couple of freelance projects, mostly staying in hostels. Since then (and after spending a month over Christmas with my family),

I was aware there was something similar on the command line, but hadn't explored the details. This doesn't sounds as convenient as (a hypothetical responsive) SourceTree, but thanks for the pointers.

The main thing I like about SourceTree is that it makes it easy to stage 'hunks', or select lines to stage. I also like that (as with UIs in general) it makes it a bit harder to make mistakes (by, for example, typing the wrong fla
