MDN is the usual academic freakshow that is official documentation. W3Schools is a genuinely useful resource for people just getting going. I appreciate correct use; I am a fan of the MDN site. But those who lambast W3Schools are grossly

Well, scientists and computer engineers are typically working on real world problems, for which certain learning styles are better. I'm an engineer, so I actually would agree with this article... for those domains. For other areas, li

the author shows their bias and agenda with the ridiculous claim: "The birds attack people in the water and on shore, particularly children that wander too close to their nests." absurd.

The negative review route could actually lead to legal troubles, if you don't represent yourself truthfully. But that's not a problem as it seems you won't go that route, anyway, based on the comments here and your reaction

Oh man I love watching this guy's totally entertaining videos. I'm not even a three.js developer (yet!) and I still watch them now and then. Somehow affirming of life...

I like how the only way to comment on this article is by your Facebook account. Now, reporters will look at the comments by FB predisposed people and assume there is now acceptance.

Now there's talk of Carmack's previous employer alleging IP theft. Hmmm... maybe that's why they scurried under the FB rock.

I think so, especially in this case. In this case, you only really get a sense of just how interactive the programming is by watching how a really short amount of time coding produces game play changes. When people cut and paste I think t

Actually I'd like to strongly urge you to not copy/paste code in. The trend lately has been to not paste code in but to do the typing... it's more akin to live coding and I think learners gain more. A lot of the better onli
