Thats a terrible analogy. Maybe if a bio-fuel plant used 50% of the vegan food to produce “green fuel”

Geekbench is hardly the definitive performance measure…

by jodleif 2y ago
Yup and usually it has a really bad effect on the housing market, especially for cities that are touristy the whole year

Another point is that roulette is never 50/50 for red/black (there are 0, and sometimes 00 which are uncolored)

Drawback is of course way worse drivetrain efficiency, but for a all weather bike it seems awesome

It’s more likely about aerodynamics (unless you’re going uphill with no regen, or doing a lot of stop/start)

Really? Isn’t that sort of insane considering the corpus they train their models on?
70.
by jodleif 2y ago
Yeah, though ultra runners optimise towards low muscle low fat, which really doesn’t fit the current athletic stereotype

Could not edit, so adding it here- also likely much more UV exposure than average (especially compared to office workers) due to active lifestyle might also be a factor

by jodleif 2y ago
People usually look older when they have a lower body fat percentage. Edit: also add in potentially more UV exposure due to above average time spent outside in the sun

Its much easier to improve is the baseline is terrible

The compiler will almost always do the bit shifting, and better for you. Just switch python with rust and you’ll get both performance and safe code

And this is a significant political issue for what you claim is the “left”? Well hidden from mainstream media-stream media (why?) i find it a bit hard to follow

Do you think a bias for selecting people that look similar to you is racist as well?
78.
by jodleif 3y ago
Do they? I thought the woke thing was more about discrimination, but I don’t know much about this. The statement makes sense though, why do you think it’s wrong?
79.
by jodleif 3y ago
What are you talking about? Be specific? What beliefs?

by jodleif 3y ago
I’m just pointing out that this is not a given…

What is this full scope?

How does faster mean less energy? Thats only true if you’re running faster on the same hardware…

I can’t figure out if this is some sort of advanced joke or not- considering the original meaning of “idiot”
84.
by jodleif 3y ago
Indeed. Koboldcpp works fine with other UIs than the bundled one.
85.
by jodleif 3y ago
I prefer koboldcpp over llama.cpp. It’s easy to spilt between gpu/cpu on models larger than VRAM

There is benefits to not having to carry extra fuel, so it’s definitely not clear cut

Your users won’t but your colleagues (and future you) definitely will

Just getting the five year warranty is worth that little extra
