I think what you say and he says are not that different: he argues that the concept of deadlines is really pressure which is also what being not cash-rich is about, you have limited resources, therefore you have pressure to make the mos

Are you assuming that it is going to be online only or is there an architecture doc that says that? There are already examples where iOS app has embedded Phoenix server to which the webview client talks to locally on the phone. The local se

I have a contract that uses nordpool spot market prices that are known ahead for each hour for the next day. I have PV on my roof and an EV. The price volatility is just insane between 2 and 4000 EUR/MWh so 2000x in the last week alone

PV can be throttled instantly to anything down to 0. Otherwise no offgrid setup would be feasible. You can mandate smart control signals to PV inverters or don't do anything and let the frequency go up so even inverters installed today

In my local EV forum there are a lot of people who join just to come and say: EV's are wrong because: "it doesn't stimulate my hearing, just no feeling without the engine growl", "charging something something",

Here in Estonia the spot market pricing works the same both ways. So I set my system to feed at 7kW during the hour and made about 28EUR for helping the grid. That is twice the $2/kWh this Tesla peak power provides but it's litera

Pretty funny that you identify Latvia as the turning point. Mikrotik is also from Latvia. I still think Ubiquity rots from the head and whether they mismanage teams in one country or another should not reflect on the country the people are

None is probably the "best option" but this is the evolution I went through in the past few months: 1. had the UDM for about a year, then at some point found out that some firmware update had completely trashed 2.4GHz wifi. Like y

With all due respect, looking at your numbers my hunch is that you need better insulation. I know a person who has about 10kWp installed on a passivhaus here in latitude 59N and says that having a heat pump is overkill for them.
