My fill up for 1100km is less than 10EUR. The only time I remember charging for 1h was when the charger happened to be a free 50kW charger. Why not. During road trips it's much more like 15 minutes every 3 hours. Completely enough to

When you leave for your trip your car is full. The Tesla Model 3 has a real world range of 300 miles [0]. You want to give yourself a 50 mile buffer. So you need to add about 13kWh of energy along the route. That's like 8 minutes with

300 miles, this is like 5-6 hours? You don't want to take a break for 15 minutes to go the bathroom and get a bite? That is all you need to add during your drive if you start with a fully charged battery. It can also be done at pretty

This is your uninformed opinion. I own one, I have never spent more than an hour waiting for any charge. The waiting time is also not wasted, I'll go eat or work on the laptop. Cumulatively over the year I have definitely spent less wa

Consider who climate change is going to impact most? The climate transition, mass migrations, ecosystem collapses etc are going to hit the most vulnerable people the hardest.

Saab is weird, it has really bad fuel economy in the city ~12L/100km but on the highway it's alright, around 7L/100km which is not great but not far off from modern cars. My wife has to travel about 360km round trip between c

Not to mention that driving at 200km/h instead of 100km/h uses about 10 times the energy.

They are already much more expensive to run. I replaced a 2003 Saab with a Tesla Model 3 and for our driving (about 40k km per year) the price difference between electricity and petrol ALONE makes up for the leasing payments.

My all time favorite is still Omega Tau [0]. They really go deep into detail on the topics. It's been getting less frequent lately but the back catalog is very impressive and most of the topics don't age. [0] - http://o

I tried his podcast and some episodes were alright. But in the end I unsubscribed as he got controversial people on and never challenged them on anything, just a nod-fest.

Where have you lived for the past 20 years? Almost all PC laptops and desktops (from Dell, HP, IBM, Lenovo and others) have had Windows installed as the default option for that time. Sometimes you can uncheck it and save a little money, som

This is changing goal posts. In windows you need to spend time to work past ads, annoyances, shit not working as well. If you don’t you get bombarded with ads in which case you either run the risk of spending money buying garbage advertised

I don't believe Ukraine had anything to do with blowing up Nordstream. But to your reasoning I would point out that the reason Nordstream was built in the first place: to bypass Ukraine in supplying Germany with gas.

Yea. The important things physical: - turn signals - high/low beam (tho automation has gotten quite good) - wipers (automation still not as good as the 2003 Saab I had) - cruise control speed and distance - PDR - media volume, play

The current golf starts at €26k. They have optimized it for decades and have a smooth running factory/supply chain. I also don't see how the equivalent EV could be cheaper by 2025.

I have driven a TM3 for a year now. For me it's way less annoying then sitting into a car with sea of buttons. It has been one of those "it would seem annoying until you actually get to try it" experiences.
