I see what you did there! Your spouse asked you to empty the dishwasher/clean the kitchen for the n-th time and so as a procrastination/excuse you started bikeshedding strategies.

I have a pretty vanilla spacevim setup and it takes ages (sometimes more than 10 seconds) to start up on a very modern m1pro or recent i7. Not really sure why.

One could argue that the environment in UK is already destroyed, why protect that instead of something that is still relatively untouched?

Chomsky has an ideological hatred of his version of Anglo-imperialism and throws everything else under the bus in the name of that. Has been doing that for decades. He is intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt. This makes his thought

Pretty much, it is computing a centre of gravity for the plane. The CG needs to be in certain limits otherwise the stability of the plane is compromised. You take the moment-arms of weights and sum them together and come up with mostly fron

Modern agriculture uses quite a bit of fossil fuels and the land-use penalty is there as well. In that light your quip about us not drinking oil is quite disingenuous.

I suspect that the physical extra effort these students made during assembly of this car (or even increased mental activity coming up with the clickbaity filter addition) completely negates the lifetime benefit of the co2 removal. Talk abou

Heat reduces power of PV Panels by up to 10%. Looking at a random spec sheet it's -0.35%/C so from 45C to 75C the difference is roughly 10%. I would not call it "very very small". Also increase in temperature reduces the

I urge you to pick up and read Desert Solitaire[0] and reconsider your 'wasteland' statement. Benefit/cost might be there, but for a project costing 22B it would be sensible to study and quantify. [0] https://en.wi

Earth is used as return path for any current. Someone described it as an endless source/sink for electrons. I don’t have any delta loads in my house, but I could of course if I needed to.

Yeah. Here in EU I get 3 phase cables only coming from the transformer. Then at my house a grounding rod is used to give combined Protective Earth and Neutral (TN-C). At my house main panel they are split into PE and N (TN-S). They are neve
