You are correct. However, Coinbase does state that they simply store the funds: "Customer deposits are not sent anywhere. Unlike other financial institutions, we do not lend out customer funds. 100% of your funds are securely stored.&q

That's certainly a possibility. I was working from the assumption that Coinbase actually held BTC totaling the sum of all users account balances. Given the highly volatile nature of BTC and the nature of the BTC community (e.g. the con

I'm aware of this, but they should still have enough BTC in storage to cover the BTC in all accounts. This means they should also have BCC for each user.

They are most certainly still holding them. They would actually have to take intentional steps to burn them, and that would be silly to do as they'd literally be throwing away money. It seems that there is an assumption from Coinbase t

That shouldn't be the case. BTC purchased after the fork has no relationship to BCC. Bitcoin transactions included before block 478559 are both valid BTC and BCC transactions. Anything after that is only valid as one or the other depen

That's a little alarmist. Apple at least appears to take iOS security seriously, so if there was a known flaw that was actively being used to extract data in the wild it would get patched very quickly. Why do assert that Android phones

Just to add some details on your parts from the 60s, Lego began switching from Cellulose Acetate to ABS plastic in 1963 and the switch was complete by 1966, so your estimation of part quality during that period seems to be spot on.

It seems like the unification of hardware and software (as Apple has done) is where a lot of real value lies. I'd love to see more startups selling innovative hardware/software products.
