That wasn't intentional, but if a few sales came from it I can't complain about that. I made the page more explicit to point this out though, near the end. Thanks for checking it out.

I had seen he was working on projects, but that was just my impression. I know how it goes when you're focused on something that you can't take meetings and you only work on stuff for long uninterrupted periods of time. I didn't harass him

I didn't realize until I read that IAMA yesterday that he was in YC. He didn't provide much detail on it, maybe I can get him to talk more about that--maybe other projects he would have liked to build instead. People seem to be most interes

Wow. Thanks. That strategy was coincidental; I only knew I'd have to promote the book once I finished it, but I didn't know how I'd do that. As about a week ago, I got ranked in the top 50 bestsellers in 3 different categories, so Amazon is

I tried getting a meeting with him several times back when I was still a student at UIUC, I read how he launched a t-shirt web site and made some money from it, and it seems every response I got was: "sorry man, I didn't get any sleep last

Oh, for those curious, the actual product Chesky designed that I reference in this article is called the PUREFLUSH. Here is the presentation on American Inventor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAWB5wzSUb0

You're not the first person to recommend this, I'm actually interested in doing it that way too. I'll get this done at some point when I move it into an HTML format that can be re-arranged and compiled on the fly.

I'm looking at Google Analytics right now for my web site, but all I can see is yesterday's data. Is there somewhere to see the data collected today? Edit: I use both Analytics and Mixpanel, they're both great services. Google has its stren

Google Analytics has a delay. Mixpanel is real-time and specifically aimed at certain events that you specify. So when someone clicks your sign up button, it fires an AJAX call and you see them do it in real-time, instantly.

I think you summed it up pretty well. The post started with the idea of "how to find cofounders" as one of the most difficult things founders deal with. I'm challenging the notion that you have to be out there and aggressive about it; inste

The media's portrayal of startups is something I have a split opinion on right now. On one hand, I feel bad criticizing the media because several founders have cited jealousy as their reason for starting a new company. "Kevin Rose was on th
