Yes, for many, working remotely is not sustainable. You definitely need a quiet and private space to work. If you have that at home, great. But many don’t have that luxury. Personally, my home setup is much better than working in an office,

Breaking changes do not occur every 6 months. The OS is upgraded every 6 months. Sometimes there are new features. Once in a while a line or two in your pf.conf may need to be changed as a new feature is added.

The number of stories I’ve read about people getting rescued tells me that the beacons are not overkill. Activating you beacon while buried under snow seems very difficult if not impossoble.
